While in Malone, Wheeler lived in the building which is now the Malone Lodge of Elks.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 30th, at 10 a.m., at Morningside Cemetery at Wheeler's grave site. The ceremony will be conducted by the Malone Lodge of Elks, assisted by the Malone American Legion Post 219 firing squad.
Following the ceremony all are invited to visit the Wheeler Memorial Room at the House of History, located at 51 Milwaukee St., and to enjoy cookies and punch.
Anyone with questions may call The Franklin County Historical and Museum Society at (518) 483-2750.
